Valencia Cities Climate Week: Highlighting MULTISOURCE’s sustainability efforts

The recent Valencia Cities Climate Week, held at the Palau de la Música, was a significant event in the calendar for urban climate resilience, featuring three main events: the Cities Mission Conference, the Energy Cities Annual Forum, and the European Urban Resilience Forum (EURF). MULTISOURCE seized this opportunity to showcase its pioneering projects at the Marketplace, held over three days from June 25 to 27.

The Marketplace attracted European actors and civil society members committed to sustainability and collaborative solutions to address climate threats. MULTISOURCE’s stand was a focal point, demonstrating their innovative approaches to promoting sustainability and resilience.

The European Urban Resilience Forum, a key event organized by ICLEI Local Governments for Sustainability and the European Environment Agency (EEA), has been a vital platform for resilience exchange since 2013. This year’s forum featured a notable session titled “Rising to the Challenge: Nature-Based Solutions for Water Resilience in Europe,” held on June 27 from 14:00 to 15:45. Fabio Masi from IRIDRA, during this session, highlighted MULTISOURCE’s significant contributions to advancing Nature-based Solutions (NbS) for water resilience across Europe.

Valencia Cities Climate Week emphasized the importance of collective action and innovative strategies in building urban resilience. MULTISOURCE’s active participation and the attention garnered at the Marketplace underscored their commitment to sustainability and their pivotal role in driving solutions to enhance urban resilience against climate threats. As climate challenges escalate, platforms like these are crucial for fostering dialogue, sharing knowledge, and developing effective resilience strategies.4o
