MULTISOURCE Showcases its Results at ICWS 2024 in Martinique

The MULTISOURCE project actively participated in the 18th International Conference on Wetland Systems for Water Pollution Control (ICWS), held in Fort-de-France, Martinique, from November 24–29, 2024.

Organized by the IWA Specialist Group on Wetland Systems for Water Pollution Control, the event served as a global hub for sharing the latest advancements in natural and constructed wetlands. With a focus on addressing water pollution, promoting sustainability, and providing ecosystem services, the conference draws experts, researchers, and practitioners from around the world.

Key Highlights from MULTISOURCE’s Participation

  • Keynote Presentation: Paula Kehoe delivered an inspiring keynote address, exploring how Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) can revolutionize water management and enhance ecosystem resilience.
  • PhD Research Presentation: Sophie Guillaume showcased her innovative research on wetlands, highlighting their potential in sustainable water reuse and pollution control.
  • Life Cycle Assessment: Karine Dufosse presented key findings on the environmental impacts and sustainability benefits of wetlands through Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
  • Opening Ceremony Leadership: Pascal Molle, a conference organizer, led the opening ceremony, setting the stage for an engaging and impactful week.
